Simon Cowell A Bit Miffed At Kelly Clarkson

Simon Cowell visited ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ on Monday night, and was asked if he was miffed that ‘American Idol’ season one champ Kelly Clarkson didn’t thank the program that launched her fame when accepting two Grammy awards earlier this year. “Not really, no. I wasn’t expecting it. It’s difficult,” he said, but when pressed admitted, “Maybe I am miffed. I am miffed, not that I wanted her to thank me because she wouldn’t, but I think you can thank the people who voted. ‘Cause you know, at the end & of the day, you know, like, if you win a Grammy, and you’ve won a competition, people have voted for you, you say, ‘Yeah, thanks for picking up the phone.’ But maybe she was nervous. Who knows.”
