Simon Cowell Advises Madonna To ‘Give Up!’
Simon Cowell chatted with News of the World where he shared his thoughts on established pop stars including a scathing attack on Madonna. “I used to love her and she was one of the most innovative artists in the world, however when I think of Madonna on stage now it’s like looking at my mum dancing at a wedding,” snapped Simon. “She’s in her 40s and a mum. She doesn’t shock me any more. I haven’t liked any of her records in the last five years. In fact there’s no way I could even begin to hum her last three songs. My message to you Madonna is: Give up!”
Madonna Feeds Her Chocolate Addiction
August 1, 2003 – Globe magazine reports that when Madonna recently biked through her Beverly Hills neighborhood, the singer had a sudden urge for her favorite chocolate covered caramels and marshmallows at Edelweiss Chocolates and decided to pull her bike in. The small store was packed, and when when of the clerks started to wait on a woman next to her, Madonna blurted out, “Excuse me, I was next… and my bike is illegally parked.” The Material Girl grabbed her bag of sweets and popped one in her mouth before heading out the door.

July 24, 2003 – Sources tell Us Weekly the huge $10 million paycheck she received from Gap wasn’t enough for the singer to do a 30-second commercial. A source said, “As part of the deal, she also insisted that her new children’s book, ‘The English Roses’, be sold at The Gap’s children stores.” Madonna’s representative confirmed the first of her five book series “Will be sold at The Gap”, but spokespersons for Gap have refused to discuss the company’s financial arrangements with the Material Girl.
