Simon Cowell chatted with News of the World where he shared his thoughts on established pop stars including a scathing attack on Madonna. “I used to love her and she was one of the most innovative artists in the world, however when I think of Madonna on stage now it’s like looking at my mum dancing at a wedding,” snapped Simon. “She’s in her 40s and a mum. She doesn’t shock me any more. I haven’t liked any of her records in the last five years. In fact there’s no way I could even begin to hum her last three songs. My message to you Madonna is: Give up!”
