Simon Cowell was videotaped at his after party following the last episode of ‘American Idol’ last night. Cowell was joined by three women, none of whom were his girlfriend Terri Seymour of ‘Extra’. When Simon asked the videographer Henry Trappler who should have won, he said Chris Daughtry, and Simon agreed. He said “I’m sure she’ll do very well” regarding Katharine McPhee’s future. No doubt Cowell was remembering the failure of the obese ‘Pop Idol’ season two winner Michele McManus when considering the future of a new “underdog” winner Taylor Hicks, who lacks appeal to pop music’s money demographic – teens. Lulop.com has since removed the video.

Katharine McPhee Wonders If It Matters Who Wins ‘Idol’
May 23, 2006 – Katharine McPhee and Taylor Hicks gave phone press conferences Friday (May 19) to talk about the finale of ‘American Idol’. Asked if it matters if she wins on Wednesday, McPhee responded, “I’ve had a few people ask me that. Of course, you want to win. Definitely, I’d love to win. I think it depends on the person. Look at Clay Aiken. He’s done really well for himself and he didn’t win. I don’t know if it really matters. When you’re in the top two… Taylor and I looked at each other and said, ‘Oh my God it doesn’t matter.’… I’m going to be obviously ecstatic if I win, but I will have nothing to complain about if I don’t.” Check out more highlights here.
Constantine Mouralis Comments On ‘Idol’ Finale
May 22, 2006 – Fox News Channel’s Lisa Bernhard examined this week’s finale of ‘American Idol’ with last seasons’ finalist Constantine Mouralis. While the “Confederate Idol” advantage was touted for Hicks as the South tends to vote for their own whether it be presidential elections or the previous four season of ‘Idol’, Mouralis did admit McPhee was more marketable as a pop star than the grey haired Hicks who sings with a constipated facial expression. Video at FoxNews.com has since been removed.
