Simon Cowell discussed the ‘American Idol’ controversy on CNBC’s ‘Bullseye’ after Jennifer Hudson was eliminated from the show last week and Elton John called the voting racist. Cowell said that the fans of Hudson were ‘American Idle’ and didn’t phone in, but predicted those people would be voting heavy the following week. Cowell said his gut feeling at the time of the interview was that the one person he thought would be a terrible choice to win, John Stevens, wouldn’t top the competition. The interview has since been removed from MSN.com.
