An industry insider said, “Simon Cowell has been getting tons of letters from fans asking if he is the same Simon who played Hugh Grant’s camp sidekick in ‘Four Weddings And A Funeral’.”

Simon Cowell’s House Robbed After TV Appearance

December 23, 2002 – The Sunday People reports Simon Cowell had £10,000 worth of video cameras and computers stolen from his home – just two days after showing off the goodies to TV viewers on the GMTV breakfast show. “These men had clearly been watching the show and knew there was building work in progress,” a pal revealed. “They must also have seen there were a lot of expensive portable items. I don’t think Simon will be letting TV cameras in his house again.”

December 14, 2002 – Access Hollywood caught up with Brian Dunkleman who says “speculation’s been ridiculous” regarding his not being involved in American Idol’s second season. “My dream is to be an actor, or the best actor that I can be,” he said. “That’s what I’m going to pursue.” He joked that he and Ryan Seacrest were “fighting over the hair gel” backstage during the show. As for judges Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell, he says “that was real” adding, “[Simon] says there’s sexual tension there. But the only person that Simon is really attracted to is himself.”
