Speaking after the ‘Love Actually’ premiere at London’s Odeon in Leicester Square on Sunday, Simon Cowell told The Sun: “Would I offer them a deal if they came into my office? No, I wouldn’t if I’m being honest. Without the ‘Pop Idol’ show behind them it would be very difficult for them to land a solo deal. We have had some good performances this year but we have also had many average ones as well. But don’t get me wrong – I think they are talented kids. I cannot tell you who is going to win because it is too open, but I do like Michelle because she’s a personality. To be honest, I wouldn’t have signed Will Young or Gareth Gates either if they hadn’t been on ‘Pop Idol’.” Read more.
