Simon Cowell tells ‘Extra’ that the addition of new judge Kara DioGuardi to the ‘American Idol’ crew has silenced him because the music producer has been taking charge at the season eight auditions. “She never shuts up,” Cowell complained. As for reports Paula Abdul isn’t happy about the new situation, Simon said, “You know it’s fine. I don’t think girls in general like to work with other girls. That’s quite normal. It could’ve been a lot worse.” As for how they’ll be sitting, Randy Jackson will remain the first to comment, followed by Kara, and Paula will remain just before Simon.
Simon said “we’re absolutely thrilled” to have Britney Spears set to appear on his popular British show ‘The X Factor’. As for how he feels about the singer cleaning up her act, Simon said, “Well I’ve always said this about Britney, which is she is a hugely talented person. August 31, 2008 – A source involved with ‘American Idol’ tells OK! magazine that Kara DioGuardi may have been brought on as the show’s fourth judge to cover for Paula Abdul. “They want another female in case Paula misses a taping,” the insider explained. ‘American Idol’ Crew Discuss Kara DioGuardi Addition
August 28, 2008 – ‘Access Hollywood’ was on the scene as Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Paula Abdul welcomed the newly added ‘American Idol’ judge Kara DioGuardi. “She’s like the tough chick personality,” ‘Idol’ host Ryan Seacrest said of Kara. “She also said to me the other day, ‘I haven’t thought about anything.
