Paula Abdul tells The New York Post that when allegations surfaced the ‘American Idol’ judge had an inappropriate affair with Corey Clark during the show’s second season, it was her usual on-air nemesis Simon Cowell who ultimately stepped up for her. “He was extremely distraught and protective and supportive of me when that happened,” Abdul told The Post’s Don Kaplan. “There’s the times when he’s like a big brother or a lover.”
