Ann Marie McQueen of the Ottawa Sun reviewed Avril Lavigne’s show at the Corel Centre in Ottawa on Thursday (April 10), giving it 4 out of 5 stars. McQueen writes, “Though she was two hours from her home town of Napanee, and light years from that life she left less than three years ago, it seemed as though Lavigne had brought the North American headlining tour she’s been longing for home.” Avril yelled to the fans after running around the stage with her hit ‘Sk8er Boi’, “Every time I do that song, I remind me of how much I’m out of shape.”

Avril Lavigne Begins Headlining Tour

April 10, 2003 – Avril Lavigne began her first-ever headlining tour on Wednesday (April 9) with a show at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. Avril told Launch.com why she was looking forward to the tour: “Going up on stage and singing, and reaching the crowd and walking off stage, and everyone’s all, like, ‘Whoo!’ That’s the incredible part.”
