Smash Mouth Opener Made *NSYNC Show Seem Uneven

John Sinkevics of The Grand Rapids Press was at Tuesday’s *NSYNC concert at the Van Andel Arena where 10,000 fans cheered on the group. As for the fun-rockers from Smash Mouth and the guitar-playing Tony Lucca opening for *NSYNC, Sinkevics said, “It made Tuesday’s show seem a bit uneven. Because as much as *NSYNC tried to prove it could change things up and get small and intimate with its music, it couldn’t abandon the candy coating and chocolate frosting that made it so sweet and so big to begin with.”
