‘Sober’ Britney Spears ‘Deadly Serious’ About Vegas Marriage
The Evening Standard reports claims that Britney Spears could have been drunk when applying for the license with childhood pal Jason Alexander have been dismissed. Joyce Singer, a co-worker at Las Vegas Marriage Bureau said: “She was sober. We are not allowed by law to give a license to anyone who is under the influence. But Britney and Jason were both fine and therefore we gave them the license.” And Linda Wells, who works at Las Vegas’ Marriage Bureau, insisted the couple were “deadly serious” about the Saturday morning marriage. “They weren’t laughing and joking like you would expect if the whole thing was a prank,” she said.
