For The Eardrums caught up with Sofia Talvik and asked the singer/songwriter what has helped create a buzz for her outside of her native Sweden. “As I said, there’s a female singer/songwriter-hype going on right now,” she said. “I think people in general has opened their eyes and discovered a whole new genre. But the genre is actually quite old and some people, perhaps those who have found me earlier, have always listened to this kind of music. I think riding the wave of a hype is just one way to see it. The other is that I finally decided to give his a real try, not hiding in my chamber anymore.”
