Jim Abbott of the Orlando Sentinel reviewed the debut solo efforts of *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake and Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter, giving Justin’s ‘Justified’ and Nick’s ‘Now Or Never’ each two stars out of five. Abbott joked, “At least they don’t want to go into space,” adding, “Successful solo careers might prove as elusive as that space shuttle ticket.” As for the pressure of Timberlake’s album on the future of teen pop, Timberlake said, “I really didn’t think about any of that. I just went in and made the record. I mean, it’s the music that I like. It’s a collection of the sounds that I’ve grown up on and that I like.” Read more.
