Sony Shelves Madonna & Ritchie Film ‘Swept Away’

Bill Zwecker of the Chicago Sun Times reports the Madonna starring, Guy Ritchie directed film ‘Swept Away’ set to debut at this month’s Cannes Film Festival, but after the very poor reception the film received at several private screenings, it’s been shelved. Sony Pictures is reportedly demanding major changes, but a spokesperson for the film company said publicly ‘Swept Away’ is “one of a number of films for which we have yet to set a release date.”
