Spears, Blige May Open Before Redskins, Jets Do

The Washington Post reports a free concert that will include performances by Britney Spears and possibly Mary J. Blige and a patriotic tribute to the U.S. armed forces will highlight the NFL’s opening-weekend festivities on the National Mall on Sept. 4. The Washington Redskins and New York Jets will play the first game of the season later that night at FedEx Field.
