Stealing The Spotlight Or Keepin’ It Real?

We’ve all witnessed Christina Aguilera’s “rebirth” of such, as the former prefabricated star broke the mould to reveal ‘the real her’. It’s no secret that Christina used to be a ‘puppet’ like Britney Spears, and she has voiced her distaste for the industry numerous times. With the recent quotes from her Blender magazine story supposedly causing an uproar among her fans, I’ve heard people saying that it was low of Christina to talk trash about Beyonce Knowles and Britney Spears, and that they hope B and B have ‘class’ and don’t respond.

I beg to differ. I see this as a refreshing change from the carefully crafted PR responses which are so suck up sugarly coated it’s sickening. If I had a dollar for every prefabricated and rehearsed line that I heard from Britney’s mouth I’d be a millionare. With all do respect, I’d rather hear somebody have a ***** just to know that they’re human, and feel human feelings.

Christina is voicing her opinion, speaking her mind, and being honest. As a fan, the last thing I want is to be lied to. I want Christina to be straight with us. I respect her opinion and don’t want her to have to censor herself to avoid some media backlash. I see Christina as a women who is fearless. She’s not worried that it will make her look bad - she disaproves and she’s not going to deny it. She’ll stand up for her opinions and won’t apologize. There’s nothing wrong with being honest.
