Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones told a stunned audience at the annual Capital FM Awards in London that Kylie Minogue was merely a former soap star to him. Moments after Kylie picked up the best international female and best international single for ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’, Jones sniped, “I think the country’s gone a little bit mad about what’s a celebrity and what’s an artist. I hope our kids realize the difference. You’re only as good as your last record – and Kylie, you’ll always be Charlene to me, love.” ‘Charlene’ was Kylie’s character on the soap opera ‘Neighbours’.
