‘Stripped’ A Flop? I Think So…

It has been over a year and a month or so since Christina Aguilera’s second album ‘Stripped’ was released. It has sold around 3.5 million in America and 8,643,000 million worldwide accoring to Nielsen Soundscan. I might be wrong about America, she probably sold less but i’m pretty sure it’s around that much. Those are the sales for 2002-2003, 1 year sales.
Many Christina Aguilera fans were laughing how Britney Spears third album, ‘Britney’, supposedly flopped, selling only 4.5 million in America and roughly 10 million worldwide… Those are the sales for 2001-2002, 1 year sales.
Well, guess what? ‘Stripped’ is a bigger flop than ‘Britney’, in that case.
Not only does Britney got Christina beat, in first week sales, she also got Christina beat, in one year sales and overrall sales.
Who’s laughing now?
I know many of you Christina fans are going to deny the fact that ‘Stripped’ is a flop but there is proof(Nielsen) to prove it. Christina may reach 10 million next year and you might claim, she’s selling more than Britney but don’t you think Britney would of sold more than 10 million since 2002? Yes, she would of. Too bad, Christina fans… Maybe next time.
