Craig Seymour of Entertainment Weekly reviewed Christina Aguilera’s new album ‘Stripped’, giving it a grade of C+. Seymour says the new album “comes off like a desperate bid for musical relevance” and has “a cluttered patchwork purse of sounds.” He added, “Aguilera’s performance seems genuinely aching. Unlike other singers with her range, she seldom tries to sound ethereally pretty (Mariah Carey) or overly controlled (Whitney Houston) — but she’s not afraid to revel in her own vocal power.”
