Students Protest 7-ticket Limit For Clay Aiken Graduation

The Associated Press reports students are protesting a seven-ticket limit for the University of North Carolina-Charlotte’s graduation ceremony, which the university imposed partly because ‘American Idol’ runner-up is among the graduating class. December graduate Sherry Vadney said the school could schedule an extra graduation ceremony that day or allow students scheduled to graduate with Aiken to move to a morning ceremony that’s already planned. “We don’t have a problem with Clay,” Vadney said. “He’s not requesting any special treatment. We just feel like there are other options.”
