As WNBA star Sue Bird and Olympic gold medalist Sarah Hughes were announced the Sportswomen of the Year by the Women’s Sports Foundation team, they also found they had a friend in common: Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys. Sarah started her interview by speaking on Sue. “It’s the first time we’ve met,” Hughes said. “But we were both at the Espys, and she was with Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys. I met him at the Grammys. A lot of girls would’ve been very happy about that. I was asking her if she was bringing him to [last night's annual WSF awards dinner].”
