Survey Shows ‘American Idol’ Voters Got It Wrong

They talked about her “Precious” nickname, her mousy voice, being “Black America’s Idol”, how she was prepared to be voted off, her school is getting another prom just for her with MTV doing a special for it, talking to the other ousted finalists, landing cartoon voiceover work, and the ‘Idol’ tour. has since removed the audio.

Chris Daughtry Cut From ‘Idol’

May 13, 2006 – News & Observer reports Chris Daughtry of McLeansville was sent home from ‘American Idol’ Wednesday night, ending North Carolina’s hopes for a homegrown winner this year. Daughtry, 26, a hard rock singer, was regularly picked by entertainment writers and odds makers as the winner of the top-rated Fox talent show. But he received the lowest amount of viewer votes out of four finalists for his Tuesday-night renditions of two Elvis Presley songs.

    America you got wrong. I have watched idol since inception and this is the biggest screw up ever. Kris is okay but when you close your eyes he could be one of many talented artists. Adam was unique and once in a lifetime performer. I think Simon must be major disappointed and so he should be. Doesn’t America realize what they have done??? I’m from Canada and am extremely disappointed and may never watch idol again because America doesn’t vote on talent but the boy next door what the hell is wrong with them.
