The following artists sent out MySpace bulletins wishing fans a happy Easter:

A Fine Frenzy (Alison Sudol): “I hope you’re having a sweet sweet Easter, filled with chocolate, family, kisses and colored eggs.”

A Fine Frenzy’s Alison Sudol shared a few of her favorite things and shopping gems in Los Angeles, including a trip to oOu, then a stop by Una Mae’s, then wrapping up with a visit to Show, all while talking about the stores, fashion, nicknacks, and how she enjoys the imperfections of music in the face of ProTools perfection. Watch it below.
Alison Sudol, the voice and songwriter for A Fine Frenzy, stopped by ‘The Saturday Early Show’ Second Cup Cafe to perform ‘Almost Lover’. Sudol talked about how her love for classical literature inspires her songwriting and liking high highs and low lows. “It’s pretty much the biggest thing that inspires my songwriting besides love obviously and loss,” Sudol said about her love for the classics. “There’s just such a magic in storytelling and literature and a love of language I got from reading at such an early age.” Watch the brief interview and performance below the cut. In a posting at YouTube, A Fine Frenzy’s Alison Sudol looked back at how her life has changed since the release of her album ‘One Cell In The Sea’. From a rooftop in Los Angeles, she talked about touring the country, being on ‘CSI: New York’, ‘The Tonight Show’, ‘Last Call’, be in Vogue, believing her voice is just another instrument, and always thinking she could be a better singer. Watch the clip below.
A Fine Frenzy stopped by the UGO Studio for an intimate and powerful performance of songs from her debut album ‘One Cell In The Sea’, including live performances of ‘Rangers’, ‘Come On Come Out’ and ‘Hope For the Hopeless’. Alison Sudol also took part in an interview, where she talked about writing songs when she was about 12-13 years old, hoping to create a world for the listener to step into with her music, being a huge fan of Bjork and Radiohead, the big unknown of recording her full-length debut, how the disc is a compilation of songs she wrote several years ago and recently, and touring with Pete Yorn and Aqualung.
The performances and interview videos at ugo.com have since been removed.
Alison Sudol, known professionally as A Fine Frenzy, sent out the following bulletin to her MySpace (@afinefrenzy) friends on Thursday (November 22):
Hello my dear Brits,
I am so sorry but I must cancel tonight’s show at the Lock Tavern. Jet lag, a bit too much talking (twenty something interviews in 2 days) and a very very (very) smoky show in Paris have rendered me a croaky mess. I’m none too happy about it… However, I’m sure I’ll be back to full health after a few days in one of my favorite cities in the world (ye aulde London, of course!). We have two shows next week and I hope you’ll forgive me for not making this one.
All my love,
Alison Sudol, aka A Fine Frenzy, made her acting debut on the season opener for ‘CSI: NY’ last night, which featured performances of her ‘One Cell in the Sea’ tracks ‘Almost Lover’ and ‘Last Of Days’. CBS.com no longer has the video available.
