Alaina Alexander Featured On ‘Curtain Call’ ‘Idol’ Complilation Project

‘American Idol’ season six semi-finalist Alaina Alexander checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace on Wednesday (January 23). She writes, “Today is a darn good day, you ask why Alaina? Well [we] finished all the legal shizzel for my first compilation record that is coming out on March 5th exclusively at your local (my fav) Wal-Mart and iTunes! It is called ‘Curtain Call’ and it’s with past Idol contestants. It’s our own songs done our way. There will be 4 volumes and I will be on the second. =-) It’s a joint venture w/ Addiction Records and Rocket Science. My dreams are coming true and you better believe it is only the beginning.” Alexander also posted three songs from the album on her MySpace player. Alaina Alexander ‘Life Interrupted’ Tribute Video

‘American Idol’ season six semi-finalist Alaina Alexander has written an original song to accompany a video, ‘Life Interrupted’, which shows the faces and names of victims of gay bashing and other hate crimes, including two teenage victims recently hanged in Iran. Alexander wrote on her Myspace blog on June 8th: “Hey there! I just wanted to show you this, and make you do some thinking this weekend! Us Weekly caught up with ‘American Idol’ season six semi-finalist Alaina Alexander to get tips on how to achieve a star style, as well as to clear up that fantasy Simon Cowell concocted about Ryan Seacrest romancing her. “Well, we went on a couple dates… [awkward pause] No, I’m just kidding,” Alaina responded. “It didn’t really pan out, I was like, ‘You’re just so busy and, you know, I don’t know if this is fraternization or something.’ Simon made that quirky comment about him trying to date me and that was it – he said it just for television. Ryan’s a great guy and he’s super talented but that’s seriously all it was.”
