will be honored by the United Nations as she’ll receive the Global Tolerance Award from the Friends Of The United Nations in a ceremony taking place December 11 at the U.N. in New York. Alanis is being honored for her continued efforts to promote tolerance through the arts.

Pop Acts Cancelling Australia Gigs

Following the terror attacks in the United States on September 11, many music acts have cancelled or hinted to cancelling planned trips to Australia including Janet Jackson, Jessica Simpson, and Alanis Morrisette. Janet says she’s stopped touring and “remains concerned about the foreseeable future”.
