Alyson and Amanda Michalka of Aly & AJ recruited “Iron Chef Charlie” to be their new executive chef in a video at the duo’s YouTube channel. Charlie their producer Rob’s 12-year-old son. Aly Michalka of Aly & AJ spoke with BOPtv at the ‘Bandslam’ event ‘Reel Thinking’, where the singer talked about why she loves music so much and how she and AJ come up with ideas for their songs. “When you’re writing with someone who’s amazing, or if I’m just writing with AJ or by myself, there’s a certain vibe that’s in the room that carries the song. That in a way I guess gets you to the end product. I feel like I can only give so much credit to myself, because it’s really in the air.
