An-Ya checked out the Hollywood sign, documenting her trip to the Hollywood Hills to see the famous landmark with a video on her MySpace.
“I can’t wait to go to the Hollywood sign, and see what’s happening down there,” An-Ya said before hopping in a car. “We’re taking a little journey. We’re gonna be there in like five minutes and I’m so excited. I can’t wait for you guys to share it with me. To share my experience to see the Hollywood sign to see for real how it looks like. Not on TV, you’re gonna see it on TV, but I’m gonna see it live.”
The video at MySpace has since been removed.
An-Ya posted a video clip on her MySpace offering an autobiography and introducing her assistant, producer, label boss Joe Simpson, friends and choreographers. The Russian pop singer, signed to Papa Joe Records, said she’s been preparing for the release of her debut album her whole life.
“When I came to Los Angeles, I met Joe Simpson,” An-Ya explained. “I was really, really nervous. I was shaking. I only saw him on TV in Russia in that reality show about Jessica on MTV. Joe Simpson helped me a lot, introducing me to great producers that I have been working with. I don’t have any family here. Just my supportive crew. That is my family.”
The brief clip at MySpace has since been removed.
An-Ya updated fans on her blog at MySpace (@anyaofficial) on Tuesday (July 14), offering fans a mini-review of Beyonce Knowles’ Monday night concert in Los Angeles. The Papa Joe artist writes:
I went to the Beyonce show at the Staples Center last night here in LA and it was amazing!! Besides the fact that I had pretty amazing seats, she is just an impressive performer, period. I couldn’t help but be inspired after the show :) My friend and one of my managers, Richard Channer, came with me which was great company as always.
Beyonce is definitely on my list of artists to see in concert again. You should go to!!!!

An-Ya updated fans on her blog at MySpace (@anyaofficial) on Friday (July 10), discussing the video shoot for her single ‘Candy Shop’. The Papa Joe Records artist writes:
I saw some more footage from the Candy shoot today and it’s looking AMAZING!! I can’t wait for you guys to see it.
The candy video was such a blast to film. We shot three setups for something like 12 hours (that’s basically three different locations).
A long long work day!!! RJ Durell and Nick Florez directed and choreographed the video. RJ and Nick are known as the Goldenboyz and they’ve worked with Madonna, Britney, and a ton of other huge names. Such an honor to work with them. Thanks boyz for such a great shoot!!
