Anastacia updated fans on her blog at MySpace (@anastaciaofficial) on Tuesday (October 21) while in Spain. The American singer songwriter tells readers:
Life is moving fast and furious!!! I am happily in Barcelona staying at the beautiful Arts Hotel where I can stare at the beautiful sea and palm trees which has me missing my home in Los Angeles…
Last night, I performed my single, ‘I Can Feel You’ on Dancing with the Stars. I was nervous they would judge my dance moves!! I used every Spanish word I could think of when the host came to talk with me!! I enjoyed the show so much even though it was a live show and I didn’t perform till 12:30am… The Spaniards love a late night.. (-:
Today I am doing a bunch of TV press interviews and travel back to London tonight. Tomorrow I will be performing my single on a UK TV show called Graham Norton…
Anastacia spoke with ITN about working with Ne-Yo and others on her latest album ‘Heavy Rotation’, coming out October 27th. She said the first single is doing well and she’s promoting ‘I Can Feel You’ in Europe right now.
“It’s definitely a little different than the last rocky one,” Anastacia said of the new disc’s sound. “A little bit more funky.”
On a collaboration with funnyman rocker Jack Black, she said, “You know what, I think I’d probably laugh too much. I don’t know if I’d get too much singing out, unfortunately. I love Tenacious D, like beyond. They’re great.”

Anastacia spoke with Fabulous Mag about her marriage to bodyguard Wayne Newton, and also came clean about her age. The American singer had been claiming to be 31 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003, even though she was actually 35. “At that point I thought I really didn’t care that it was a lie, because people thought that being young meant you didn’t get cancer, but there were tons of young women who wrote to me and had cancer,” she explained. “I felt I needed to be the voice for that.” But after beating the disease, Anastacia tried correcting her age. “I would just say I was in my 30s,” she said. “But that became embarrassing because people would wonder what I was hiding. I’m thrilled I can finally be 40.” Anastacia celebrates her 40th birthday on September 17th. Read more and check out pictures at fabulousmag.co.uk.

Anastacia checked in with fans on her official web site with an update on her eBay “charity” auction, where the singer is donating a paltry 15% to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. “Hi, Everyone. Well, Friday is quickly approaching and I am so shocked at the responses that we have had with this auction,” she said on Thursday (November 30). “I know you all are looking for more from me, and I have been thinking hard at what it is I need to do to celebrate your support. So, in the next week or two, I will be emailing you all with a list of gifts I will be giving back to you for spending your hard earned money. Stay tuned and keep up the good work. Anastacia has sent out the following message in regards to her “charity” clothing auctions on eBay, where the singer is donating only 15% of the proceeds to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation:
Just wanted to check in and thank you for last week.
I am running out of words to express my gratitude. This week has some very exciting items. Dear things to me that I never thought I would let depart my life, but because the cause is so important, I would rather you have them than sitting here for me to admire. These items have meant so much to me, as they represent milestones in my life. You can bid on them here.
Anastacia posted another update on her official web site regarding her clothing auctions on eBay, where only 15% of the proceeds goes to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The singer hasn’t identified where the remaining 85% of the auction earnings will go. “Hi, Everyone, Here we are, back at another Thursday.,” the breast cancer survivor writes. “The last two auctions have been so great to watch. You astonish me with your willingness to participate with such a great cause. Friday is upon us and I just wanted to ask for your continued support. I will be putting my famous glasses in the mix over the next couple of weeks and then bringing back some items that did not sell, in hopes that you will bid on them again, not to mention tons of new items. Again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous support!”
