Anoop Desai Discusses His Post ‘American Idol’ Plans

Ousted ‘’ finalist talked with TV Guide’s ‘After Idol’ about the artists he wants to team up with, what he said to Allison Iraheta before being voted off, and not having plans to go back to grad school until he makes an effort to get a record deal and make an album. “I see myself in that pop/R&B genre, and I think I have the type of voice to be successful in that genre,” Desai said. “I’m looking forward to that. Anoop Desai Had “Special Bond” With Murdered UNC-CH Student Eve Carson

The National Enquirer reports ‘’ finalist was especially close to fellow University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill student Eve Carson, prompting him to give a public mention of the 22-year-old, who was brutally gunned down in March 2008. “Those two had a special bond,” a friend of Anoop told the tabloid. “They were always together on campus. They studied together, shared meals and stayed up all hours drinking coffee and talking about their futures. Anoop feels a victory would be a fitting tribute to Eve.” Read more.
