MySpace has partnered with Katalyst Media, founded by Ashton Kutcher, to encourage celebrities to record a pledge of service to President-elect Barack Obama. A video clip introducing the program offered examples of stars telling their plans to take actions that lead to the nationwide change motivated by Obama’s campaign. Online reports Jessica Simpson and Dallas Cowboys QB boyfriend Tony Romo and Ashlee Simpson and husband Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy plan to celebrate Christmas at the Waco, Texas, home of their maternal grandmother. A family friend said, “This Christmas is a big deal and the whole family wants to be together for baby Bronx’s first Christmas.”
While expecting their first child, Ashlee Simpson and husband Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy were concerned how their aggressive, but beloved, English bulldog Hemingway would react when the baby arrived. The couple hoped a canine companion might help, but when 5-month-old English bulldog Rigby joined the budding family, Hemingway’s dog aggression escalated. As Ashlee’s due date rapidly approached, Cesar Millan of National Geographic’s ‘Dog Whisperer’ was called in to help the create a balanced environment that will be safe for their newborn. Hey everyone! I haven’t written in a while, just wanted to write and check in! Motherhood is the most fantastic experience I have ever been thru, Bronx makes me laugh and smile everyday! I finally left the house for Fall Out Boy’s show on Monday night, which was so good. Their new songs sound awesome live, I can’t wait for their new record! And last night I went to Pete and Bronx’s godfather Travis’ artshow. It’s amazing to see how many artistic outlets those boys have! Made me very proud. It was an awesome show and so many of our friends and family came out to support. I hope you guys have a great holiday, I can’t wait to spend it with my new family. Christmas tree goes up tomorrow!

Jessica Simpson spoke with People magazine about her sister Ashlee Simpson giving birth to Bronx Mowgli Wentz on Thursday night. “Bronx is beyond precious. I’m over the moon with joy,” aunt Jessica said Friday. “Life is a beautiful miracle. Ashlee and Pete are healthy, happy, and enjoying every moment.”
The singing sisters’ parents Joe and Tina Simpson also issued a statement on the baby news Friday. “We can’t wait to spend Bronx’s first holidays together with the whole family,” they said. “We are truly blessed.”
Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and hubby Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy are the proud parents of a baby boy, their representative said in a statement on Friday. “Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes,” the statement reads. Bronx Mowgli was born Thursday night, weighing 7 pounds, 11 ounces.
In Touch has learned Ashlee Simpson is currently in labor at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. “Yes, she is in labor,” a family insider told the mag. Her husband Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy “and the family are really excited and are waiting to meet the baby.”
