Avril Lavigne Shows Off Abbey Dawn To ‘Good Day LA’

I like to dress casual.” The video at myfoxla.com has since been removed.
Avril Lavigne’s scheduled concert in Kuala Lumpur on August 29th at Stadium Merdeka is in question after Malaysia’s Islamic opposition party urged the show to be cancelled because the Canadian singer’s stage show is “too sexy.” Kamarulzaman Mohamed, a party official, explained. “It is considered too sexy for us. … It’s not good for viewers in Malaysia. We don’t want our people, our teenagers, influenced by their performance. We want clean artists, artists that are good role models.”
But organizers tell the Malaysia’s The Star the show will go on despite the protests. “Everything is moving very positively. We have spoken to the authorities involved and things look good,” a spokesman for the organizer explained. “We’ve organized the show according to the rules. There is nothing wrong. We’ve received positive and assuring feedback from the authorities.”
In the latest episode of ‘MySpace Presents: The Fit’, Avril Lavigne talked about the inspirations behind Abbey Dawn, the Canadian singer/songwriter’s new couture line.
“Denim is an iconic fabric because it can be used in so many different ways, different colors, different cuts, and reflect on people’s own individual style,” Avril said about a fabric that’s used in a line of her clothing line. “I’ve always liked really old, faded jeans and I would take my brother’s old jeans, wear them low because they were too big on me, and I’d cut them off. Two summers later, I’d cut them off shorter as I got older. I’ve always loved jeans because they’re fun. You can rip them, they look cool if they’re faded.”
“I like to mix rock n’ roll stuff like studs and skulls and plaid with more feminine colors like pinks and purples,” Avril said. “My music and my clothes are a reflection of who I am, and it’s been really cool to see that resonate with my fans.”

Nettwerk Management CEO Terry McBride, who represents Avril Lavigne, claimed to a MusicTank panel in London that “there’s about a $2 million check waiting for her for all her YouTube plays”, especially given that Avril’s video hit ‘Girlfriend’ has been viewed a record 93 million times.
McBride also argued that song downloads should only cost 25 cents, while an album would cost under $4. “You’d see a huge shift,” he told MusicTank. “We haven’t even given kids the choice to show us this tipping point yet … the profit margin in the digital space is about 300% that inside the physical space.” Listen to a podcast of the event at musictank.co.uk.
Avril Lavigne Plans To Remove Her ‘Fangs’
July 26, 2008 – An insider tells Star magazine that Avril plans on having her vampire-like front teeth rounded off. “Avril hates her fangs,” the source explained. “She is planning on having them filed down by a cosmetic dentist. It’s just something she has always been insecure about, especially since everyone is staring at her mouth when she sings. As soon as Avril finds some time to take off so it won’t interfere with her singing, she’s getting it done!”
There appears to be a huge spike today in searches for a sex tape supposedly featuring Avril Lavigne set to the music of her single ‘Don’t Tell Me’ after the Post Chronicle reported on the news as if it was new on Monday. They report in the news item though that ‘Don’t Tell Me’, released in 2004, is her “new” single. And the file they link to isn’t set to that Avril’s music, but instead Outkast’s ‘Bombs over Baghdad’. One poster at Topix.com claims the video was made before Avril had even released her debut album ‘Let Go’ in 2002, when Avril was only 17.

Avril Lavigne checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace (@avrillavigne) on Thursday (May 1). The singer writes:
I am at home right now taking it easy. I have been sick this whole tour, and now I have lost my voice. I have never canceled a show in my whole career and just had to for the first time ever. This sux!
I am so sorry! I have been on the road for 60 days straight. I have had the flu 3 times and I never get sick, it just keeps going around. I think I am just run down. I just played 4 shows in a row in Texas (which is a lot for the vocals) and woke up in Vegas Tuesday with no voice. I thought I was gonna have to cancel that show, but I made it through…..barely! I still went on stage in Vegas and gave it my all, but unfortunately its interfering with my throat now. I had to eliminate songs.
I woke up yesterday and knew I wouldn’t be able to sing last night. My voice is so shot. We drove home yesterday and I went to my throat doctor. He stuck a camera down my throat….ewwww, I gagged!!! It was kinda funny though…..he said I have “Acute Laryngitis”.
So, um, yeah, that sux. I was supposed to play a show in San Diego yesterday and was supposed to perform on Jay Leno tomorrow and go live with Ryan Seacrest in the today, but I had to cancel that too. I’m at home resting my voice for 2 days and hope to be back out soon. Thank you for understanding. And once again, I sincerely apologize.
