Avril Lavigne Discusses Her New Album, But Not Brody Jenner

was on the phone with On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Thursday (May 6) to discuss her performance in the Race to Erase MS. The pair discussed Ryan wanting to have a frangrance too like Avril’s Black Star product, how she’s “basically done” with her new album and wanting to write a couple more songs for it, and how she’s feeling inspired at the moment. “This album is kind of different, a little more mellow,” she explained. “But I’m still keeping it in that whole range where I kind of want to write a couple upbeat songs for it.”

As for her romance with Brody Jenner, Avril said, “Ryan! You’re fishing… I don’t talk about my personal life.” Listen to the interview at kiisfm.com.

The gossip site spotted the couple “sitting in a booth next to one another for the entire night, whispering into each other’s ears and getting very cozy.” Also at the table was Wilmer Valderrama, who ironically had been linked to the Canadian pop singer. Avril Lavigne On The Inspiration For ‘Alice’

checked in with fans on her official web site on Sunday (January 31), talking about how her new single ‘Alice’ came about. The Canadian pop rock singer tells readers:

I just wanted to check in and share a bit of what’s going on with me right now. I am so excited! I feel very lucky to be a part of Tim Burton’s new film Alice In Wonderland.

It all started off with me designing an Abbey Dawn/Alice In Wonderland collaboration for my fashion line at Kohls. I was working at the Disney offices going though graphic images from the movie for my designs and getting up to speed on the movie project. I was really inspired and excited about the film at that moment, so I asked Disney if they would like me to write the theme song for the film. They went back to Tim and he said yeah give it a go.

I was so excited when I got the news! I sat down on my piano immediately and wrote the song.
