The Courier Mail reports all-girl pop band Bardot last night performed their final show for Channel V at Fox Studio, which prompted member Tiffany Wood to break down in tears during the group’s final song, ‘I Need Somebody’. Wood tried to explain earlier in the show why the group had decided to split saying, “We’re just having a break. Finding some time to spend with ourselves and our partners.”
Australia’s Pop Stars Bardot have officially announced their breakup issuing a press release on Tuesday. The group said of the mutual decision, “Belinda Chapple, Sophie Monk, Sally Polihronas and Tiffany Wood have cited the need for a well earned break following what has been a phenomenal 2 year explosion on the Australian music scene.” The group’s final performance together will be on Thursday May 2nd in Sydney at the “A Happy Night for SAD Kids” Charity Event and Celebrity Auction to benefit the SAD (Suicide, Anxiety and Depression) Kids Project.
The original Australian Popstars female band Bardot is on the verge of splitting due in large part to flared tempers between group members, according to music industry sources, reports the Herald Sun. A spokeswoman for the group said, “No official decision has been made at this stage. I’d prefer not to make any comment.”
The Herald Sun reports girl group Bardot yesterday unveiled the new rainbow-hued Bonds range of underwear. The group will wear the undies during their appearance at the Unzipped underwear parade next Thursday at the Plaza Ballroom, where they’ll perform ‘I Need Somebody.’
