They then checked out some bikes before signing off. “As you can see from some of my crazy new vids.. I’m havin a great time out here,” Brendan wrote in a MySpace blog update on Monday (September 29). “Our new van (after a quick trip to a mechanic in Alabama) is gonna do us wonders in these next few months. We love her already, and has been aptly named.. Buttercup. Yep, Buttercup. You’d have to ride in her to understand :-) … I will upload some videos in the next few days so you can meet her!”

40 states since June 1st!

So, in the blur that is my beautiful life these days.. I just stumbled upon a pretty ridiculous revelation. I have been to 40 states since June 1st. 40 states!

Honestly, I have a hard time wrapping my brain around that. But many thanks are in order to a trusty tour van, a die-hard Saturn SUV, some sturdy airplanes, and about 10 different rental cars.. They have carried me through floods, hail storms, 121 degree temperatures, and some horrific traffic jams (in Chicago and New Jersey especially). Many thanks are in order as well to these feet of mine for walking me down a thousand new sidewalks, up steep mountain trails, into 85 different hotel rooms, 4 raging rivers, and onto 75 stages.
