As part of Britney Spears’ VEVO Certified feature for the pop star having two videos getting 100 million views on the site, ‘I Wanna Go’ and ‘Till The World Ends’, she talked about some of the more popular videos she has done throughout her career. Included in Spears commentary were the videos to her debut single ‘…Baby One More Time’, as well as ‘Oops!… I Did It Again’, ‘Toxic’ and ‘I’m A Slave 4 U’.

“I think understanding the video process is really important for all of us as artists because it’s our one and only chance to really connect with the fans on screen, and for them to see us in our work in putting a picture and a song with a face,” Spears explained.

As for the first time she make that song and face connection in 1999, Spears said, “My first video was ‘…Baby One More Time’. I think I was 18 or 17 years old. I do remember somewhat of just the feeling of everything being so surreal, like making your first music video, there’s nothing like it. It was my idea to do the whole school girl outfit and us being at school and then having the dance numbers throughout it.”

Talking about another well known music video Britney did, the 31-year-old cited ‘Oops!… I Did It Again’. “Actually, ‘Oops’ was one of my favorite videos,” Spears said of the hit released in 2000. “The whole concept was us being on the planet Mars, so it’s just a kind of out there concept, which I thought would be really appealing to people. The camera actually fell on top of my head and busted my head open, and I was laying down on my back, and it was above me and the camera just fell right on my face. It was a really bizarre experience, but I got right back up. I think I was in shock and they put stitches in my head and I was like, ‘I’m ready to go!’ I was so ready to just keep shooting.”

Mentioning the video to her 2004 hit ‘Toxic’, Spears explained, “Well ‘Toxic’ I’ve always thought of something very character driven. I had always had that concept in my mind and it was just really perfect for ‘Toxic’. I just love all the different scenes, with a bunch of different girls, with a bunch of different looks and them having poison to feed to their man and to have her binge on her boyfriend, but at the same time they all go together, and they all come together to tell this one story and I think it’s done very cleverly.”

Britney Spears was recently presented with Certified Awards from VEVO for her ‘I Wanna Go’ and ‘Till The World Ends’ music videos reaching 100 million views on the site. Delivering the pair of awards to Spears on the set of ‘The X Factor’, where she is a judge, were Todd, Lisa and Kevin, three of Britney’s biggest fans.

Asked about the inspiration behind her music, Britney said, “You know, depending on whatever I’m going through at the moment. You know, relationships or just going out with my girlfriends and having a good time, just bring them to life in song elements.”

Britney then had this to say to her supporters, “I want to thank all of my fans out there for helping me and supporting me and getting this. This is so incredibly cool. It’s probably the coolest award I’ve ever gotten, so if it wasn’t because of you guys, I wouldn’t be able to do this and hold these things right now. So thank you.”

Britney Spears was on the phone with Ryan Seacrest of KIIS FM in Los Angeles last month. The pop singer was joined by Jeff and Jason Trawick and talked about how Jason is in such good shape to the envy of Ryan, getting the call from Simon Cowell to join ‘The X Factor’, how Simon claims she’s a “mean” judge, the difficulties telling people they wouldn’t cut it on the show, how she gets along with Demi Lovato, and her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James have been enjoying school.

On how she came about to be a judge on ‘The X Factor’, Britney explained, “I had a makeup artist with me for about 8 months on the road and she was just adorable and so much fun to be with and she was constantly talking about her previous job. She worked with Simon for awhile. We were just joking around about it. Wouldn’t it be cool if I went on the show or just visited again, genuinely just playing around about it and then all of the sudden I get this phone call from Simon and he was just adorable and so it was just something I had to do.”

Responding to Simon’s claim that she’s “mean”, Britney said, “I would have to say I’m a happy, honest judge. I use constructive criticism and I’m honest and I think I would want to know. It’s a big deal to give up your career being a doctor or whatever you want to do to do something you’re not really capable of doing.”

As for breaking news that a contestant was no good when the person thought otherwise, she said, “There were some that were just kind of ridiculous and you were kind of offended that they even thought they could, you were wondering if they were taking the whole thing seriously. You thought they were disrespecting the show by even coming on but then there the ones that were on and they really thought that they had it. You could see it in their eyes how believable they were about it, and it was really hard and it would break your heart to tell them no.”

On her conversations with Demi, Britney said, “We talk about anything and everything. She is a really cool, laid back girl and she’s from the south as well. She’s just a really nice, interesting person to be with.”

Talking about her two boys being in school, she said, “They love school. I thought the first day I was ready for them to come home and be like, ‘Mom! I hate school!’, but they came home and they were rockin’ and they were having fun and they had a great day, so I was like, this is nice.”

On letting her boys have their own phones and gadgets, she said, “I let my boys use my iPad and they think it’s theirs. I let them think it’s theirs, but it’s mine. As far as like a phone and really having one of their own, we’re gonna wait a while.”

On how her kids keep occupied, she said, “They’re obsessed. They go through these phases with their video games and what they want to play. They’re into Minecraft right now.”

Britney Spears took home the Best Pop Video during last night’s MTV Video Music Awards for her ‘Till the World Ends’ video, a track off the pop star’s seventh studio album, ‘Femme Fatale’.

“Thank you so much,” Spears told the cheering crowd. “I wasn’t expecting this. First I’d like to thank God, for blessing me so much. My beautiful family. My two boys Jayden and Preston, mommy loves you so much babies. My management team Larry Rudolph. Ray Kay for directing this video and to all of my fans and Jason [Trawick], I love you.”
