Cash Cash’s Jean Paul Anxious To Get Back On The Road

Jean Paul Makhlouf of checked in with fans on the New Jersey group’s blog at MySpace on Sunday (December 28). The singer tells readers:

Word up it’s Pizzle checking in,

So Christmas was awesome! It was good to spend some time with the fam over a nice home cooked meal… It seems we never appreciate them that much until we’re out on tour in the middle of nowhere at 2am eating a half cold sandwich from a truck stop.. haha it’s no match for my mother’s stuffed mushrooms! Anyways, we’ve been practicing a lot lately getting ready for tour, working out all the new songs on the record so we can change it up this time around… Don’t want to keep playin the same set every night! But seriously, just practicing again makes me so anxious to get back out on the road playing shows again!!! It’s gonna be a really fun tour and we’re all counting the days till it starts! Aight I’m gonna keep this one short, gotta go finish the Sopranos season 1 DVD. J Santa brought me the complete box set!! Haha I’ve been veggin out every night watching em!

Cash Cash Debut Album ‘Take It To The Floor’ Out January 20th

Jean Paul Makhlouf of checked in with fans on the group’s blog at MySpace on Tuesday (December 9) to announce a release date for their debut full-length album ‘Take It To The Floor’, coming out January 20, 2009 via Universal Republic. Jean Paul writes:

So it’s finally finished!!!! I know we’ve been promising this CD for wayyy too long and we always sounded like the boy who cried wolf… But this time it’s for real! We had a bunch of speed bumps along the way with recording it, mixing it, and just finding the time to complete it… We started recording this CD back in January of last year and it’s been a crazy year trying to complete it! We weren’t 100% satisfied with the production and mixes that we were given when we got back from our Valencia tour. So in the little time I had between the Valencia & Metro Station tour, I knew we had to take it back to where it all started… my basement… I basically locked myself in my home studio for 2 weeks so I could tweak production & mix all 12 songs myself… It was super hectic but very rewarding in the end… Now, not only do we have an album that we are extremely proud of, but we have a CD that contains music that we had 100% creative control on.

Cash Cash Cancel Tour After Jean Paul Loses His Voice

Jean Paul Makhlouf of checked in with fans on the New Jersey group’s blog at MySpace on Wednesday (December 3). The singer tells readers:

Hey Everyone, it’s Jean Paul

So I thought I would be able to do these last few shows on the way home but last night in Tulsa I really felt it hard. I blew my voice out completely and we decided it would be a smart idea to just head home. I don’t want to do any permanent damage to my voice so we canceled the shows. Very sorry to everyone who was planning to come out and rock with us! We’ll make it up to you guys, promise!! Aight, I’m gonna go throw some cups of tea down my throat to try and speed this all up!! haha later guys
