Celine Dion Bounces Back From Viral Infection

The Las Vegas Review Journal reports returned to the Colosseum stage on April 26th after missing six shows because of a viral infection that left her with a scary case of vertigo from labyrinthitis. “The doctor said it could last from a week to six months,” her husband-manager Rene Angelil said Thursday. “Luckily, it only lasted a week. She felt like she was rocking in a boat. She’s fine now, but they (doctors) scared us.” Read more.

The Daily Star reports that has just discovered that she’s a distant relative of Camilla Parker-Bowles and . “Camilla and are both descended from Zacherie Cloutier, who lived from 1617 to 1706,” genealogist William Addams Reitwiesner explained. “Both Jean and Zacherie died in Chateau-Richer, Quebec. Because of their unusual French-Canadian ancestry, they are all blood relations. is absolutely fascinated by this.” Read more.

Harrah’s Entertainment Artists Rally Together Benefit

Sir and singer performed together during the Harrah’s Entertainment Artists Rally Together (H.E.A.R.T.) benefit concert at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Monday (February 20) in Las Vegas, Nevada. The sold-out show raised $2.1 million for about 9,400 hurricane-affected employees of Caesars’ parent company, Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. Heavy damage from Hurricane Katrina caused the closure of Harrah’s resorts in Gulfport and Biloxi, Mississippi and New Orleans, Louisiana and Hurricane Rita closed Harrah’s Lake Charles in Louisiana. I can explain the analogy between the United World Charts (organized by Mediatraffic.de) and the Billboard Charts like this: It’s like comparing the Ms. Universe Pageant to the Ms. America Pageant or the U.S. National Games to the Olympics. In Music it’s like comparing ’s/Celine’s “Worldwide Appeal” to Mariah’s “American Only Appeal”. In our time the World Charts do “Matter The Most”.
