Christina Aguilera celebrated her 30th birthday by treating her new lucky boyfriend Matthew Rutler to some wine on a cozy horse drawn carriage ride through the luxury ski resort town of Courchevel, France. The former lowly production assistant on Aguilera’s movie ‘Burlesque’ hit the jackpot with Christina. TMZ made sure to focus on how Matt’s become the luckiest man in the world, while noting her ex-husband Jordan Bratman who was similarly plucked from obscurity is now tending to their child Max while she lives it up. Singer Christina Aguilera tells People magazine she knew she had to end her marriage to Jordan Bratman while filming ‘Burlesque’. The story was discussed by Brooke Anderson of ‘Showbiz Tonight’ with Ben Widdicombe and Shelley Wade of Z100 on Wednesday (December 1). “Oh, well, she has been in the public eye of course, since she was a Mouseketeer, she was a teen star before she was a movie star,” Ben said when asked if Christina’s age was an issue. “So I think that she`s always had this need insecurity, and someone with her and maybe to look after her. And — and so I`m surprised that she would jump from that ship, even if she wasn`t happy with this guy, who was quite junior on the set. That surprises me, too, actually.” Watch the segment below.
TV Guide Network’s Hollywood 411 talked to Christina Aguilera about her big screen debut in ‘Burlesque’. The pop star discussed what it was like working with icon Cher and keeping busy between takes. They also chatted with the men of ‘Burlesque’, Eric Dane and Cam Gigandet. “You never know how things are going to be when you walk into a situation and meet people for the first time and let alone a legend and an icon that Cher is, but she couldn’t have been more down to earth and warm and kind,” Aguilera said about her co-star.

Christina Aguilera was on hand for the premiere of ‘Burlesque’ at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Monday (November 15). The movie hits theaters on November 24th. Christina talked with Ellen K. about having a big day getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame before attending the film premiere, her favorite songs on the soundtrack, and approaching the role as a newcomer. “It’s so hard to pick one as a favorite,” Aguilera said about a favorite song from the movie, “just because each one holds a specific purpose for specific scenes in the film. To qualify, contestants are asked to visit ksolo.myspace.com/contest/ChristinaAguilera, record one of her hits, and enter for a chance to win a pair of concert tickets, travel and accommodations for two, and a backstage pass to meet the star. The winner will be chosen by Christina herself and announced at the end of the promotion. The contest launched last Tuesday at 3pm and will run until November 23rd. The promotion is only open to residents of the U.S. and Canada.

The pop star and Matthew Rutler became friends while filming the movie, and got back in touch after it was announced Christina was getting a divorce. “They’ve been on a few dates over the last few weeks,” a source tells UsMagazine.com. “It’s not serious. She’s not looking to jump into a relationship right now.”
