Cyndi Lauper Interviews Christina Aguilera

interviewed for Interview magazine. Asked about how she is able to sing and dance around on stage, Aguilera responded, “Well, to me, the choreography is secondary to the music. The other night I came offstage and was like, ‘I don’t care if I missed a dance step, but my voice was weak!’ This show is very different from what you might’ve envisioned having seen [the video for] ‘Genie in a Bottle’ and all that choreographed stuff from the last album. This show is theatrical, and it’s about getting into a character and getting to play someone who’s vulnerable in a few songs, and then someone who’s aggressive. I’m getting to be a female in control.”

Nile Rogers Planning ‘We Are Family’ Remake

Foxnews.com’s Roger Friedman is reporting a slew of stars have signed on or are close to signing on to record a remake of Nile Rogers penned hit, We Are Family. The plans are a Saturday recording of the song with one group of stars in New York. Money raise from the effort will go to World Trade Center victims and their families.

Among those scheduled tentatively on the roster include the original singers Sister Sledge and as well Dionne Warwick, , Sugar Ray, Mick Jones of Foreigner, Roberta Flack, Sheryl Crow, Fred Schneider of the B52′s.

Then a Sunday recording in Los Angeles with the likes of Seal, Sophie B. Hawkins, Ice Cube, ‘N Sync, , Rob Thomas and Matchbox Twenty, and Elizabeth Taylor.
