Well, the recording of my new album has officially started. Over the past few months I’ve been very busy writing and co-writing songs and I’m thrilled to let you know that internationally renowned producer, Stuart Crichton, has flown to Sydney to produce the album and he is just brilliant.
Other good news is that in the lead up to the release of the album, I’ll be doing a few select intimate shows.

We also continue the story of Grace who had the horrific quad bike accident and introduce a new story about nine year old Ashley who is given the gift of hearing for the first time. Other news, I have just announced two special acoustic performances in the Vanguard, Newtown in Sydney (http://www.thevanguard.com.au). ‘Australian Idol’ season four champ Damien Leith posted the following bulletin to fans on MySpace on Thursday (August 9):
Hope you’re well! It has been a while since I last had a chance to write! I have been on the promo trail for ’22 Steps’ and now for the release of the album on August 18 – it’s been hectic.
It’s only a week now until the album comes out and to be honest, I can’t wait. I’ve spent the past few weeks doing tons of interviews and industry showcases of my new songs. The feedback has been great – and from the showcases I managed to get one of my songs, ‘Shine Like The Sun’ on the ad for the new channel seven TV series, ‘City Homicide’. Also, ’22 Steps’ is now getting air play in Ireland, which is great.
Spread the word out about the new album by downloading the poster and putting it up around the place ha.
Anyway guys, take care and be good!
PS Oh and I will be touring in November – see Damienleith.com.au for the first lot of confirmed dates…
