Darius Campbell (aka Darius Danesh) checked in with fans on his blog at MySpace (@dariuscampbellofficial) on Tuesday (January 19), talking about his participation in the ITV1 show ‘Popstar to Operastar’. The 29-year-old writes:
Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well and I just wanted to say a massive thanks to everyone who voted for me on Friday.
I’m relieved the first show is over and so happy to get through. Singing ‘Nessun Dorma’ was a huge privilege for me and I hope I did it justice.
I’m loving doing this show and we are becoming a tight knit group of friends. The many weeks of rehearsals are starting to pay off for all of us now and as upset as we were to see Alex go, we know that someone has to leave each week. I just hope I can do enough week after week to impress the viewing public and make it through.
I’m back in rehearsals now ahead of this Friday’s show and really looking forward to it. So happy to be back on the TV in front of you guys and hopefully stay in the competition as long as possible but that’s up to you!!
Anyway, take care and see you all very soon….
