Moby tells The Sun’s Something For The Week his latest single ‘New York New York’ is a tribute to singer Debbie Harry’s iconic status as well as the city’s legendary hedonistic history. “Debbie is interesting because, when Blondie became successful, she was already an integral part of the downtown New York art scene,” he explained. “Blondie were such a huge pop group but Debbie’s a thoughtful intellectual who doesn’t take herself too seriously, which is sadly not how you can describe the current crop of pop musicians.” Read more.
