Esmee Denters updated fans on her blog at her official web site on Wednesday (June 2), talking about having her hair look like a mess today and how a stylist recently glammed her up with hair and makeup. The Dutch pop singer writes:
It’s amazing how great make up and clothes can make you feel. I love being a girl playing dress up, and trying out different looks. But sometimes when you take all those things away you can start to lose some of your confidence. I mean, I’m pretty happy with whom I am and I will never Heidi Montag my ass LOL. I would love to have flawless skin maybe bigger boobs. That’s just not who I am, and that’s fine. We all have insecurities about our bodies, I know I do! I think being insecure is a natural thing and trying to be perfect all the time isn’t.

Behind the scenes footage of Esmee Denters’ latest music video ‘Love Dealer’ has been posted online, featuring comments from Esmee, Justin Timberlake – who is featured on the song and video, and its director Brendan Malloy.
“It’s sort of recreating the vibe we had in the studio and also showing more of my personality,” the Dutch pop singer said in the clip. “It’s amazing to be here and see all these people that work on your video. And to have (Justin) here supporting me.”
Justin said the track “got written in an hour and a half and then she recorded it that night on her own. All the vocals on her own and I came back the next day and it was done.” The former *NSYNC member added that Esmee “is such a sponge, just soaks everything up and you see her processing everything and she comes back the next day with all that knowledge and she retains all that.”

Esmee Denters checked in with fans on her official web site on Thursday (May 13), discussing the support she’s received over the years from fans and her current tour with Stanfour in Germany. The Dutch pop singer writes:
Whether you know me from my early YouTube videos or from my own original music, thank you for sticking with me over the years. I know that it has been awhile since I uploaded my first YouTube video and first got to know you all. YOU made me realize how much I wanted to be a singer, and I feel like I owe you big time. I am working hard to try to live up to your expectations and most importantly my own.
Right now I am on tour with the German band Stanfour promoting their brand new single “Life Without You”, which I am featured on. It’s doing really well on German radio! It’s also so exciting that my own album will be coming out in Germany :-) To be given the opportunity to make music for a living and tour the world is the best thing that could ever happen to me.

Esmee Denters checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace (@esmeedenters) on Tuesday (November 10), discussing her attendance at the MTV Europe Music Awards, where the Dutch pop singer took home Best European Act. Esmee writes:
I was so excited to get all dressed up. My stylist and I picked out this really nice D&G outfit with the cutest, but most painful, shoes I have ever worn. I knew a lot of the artists at the EMA’s would be wearing dresses, so I wore this really beautiful tailored suit.
When I arrived to the awards, I got to walk the red carpet. I felt really glamorous, but kind of silly at the same time. People are screaming your name, taking pictures, and sometimes asking weird questions. One of the interviewers on the red carpet wanted me to sing a Tokio Hotel song on the spot, haha! I’m sorry to say that I don’t know any of the lyrics to their songs. After the red carpet, I was ready to see the show. Katy Perry presented the awards just like last year, and she had some pretty fabulous outfits. There were performances by Green Day, Leona Lewis, Shakira, U2, and Jay-Z. Of course the highlight of the show for me was the always amazing Beyonce, working that stage like she always does. It seems like she just can’t do wrong.

Hey Everybody… It’s me, Esmée!
I just got back from doing an interview on an early morning radio show here in Seattle and I thought I would write to you guys real quick. This week started off with a show in beautiful San Diego. The next morning we went to visit Radio Star 94.1 for a live interview. Radio DJ AJ stayed up on this crane for an entire week to help raise toys for sick children, so of course I had to come out for this great cause. Thumbs up to AJ! ;)
