Fefe Dobson checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace (@fefedobson) on Monday (May 22). “I’m super stoked because my album is droppin in like 3 weeks,” the singer writes. “I can’t believe its almost that time! ‘Sunday Love’! I feel like I’ve been waitin’ for this album to come out 4ever… but I’m really happy that I took the time to really work on it, ‘cos I only want to deliver you guys the best! If you haven’t already heard, ‘This is My Life’ is the first official single in the US… So if you listen to the radio and want to hear it, then drop a call to the station and request!!”
Fefe Dobson checked in with fans on her official website on Friday (February 24). She writes:
“HEY EVERYBODY! I am sitting at home in my music room and I got super inspired to write! It’s like almost 12 am here in freezin cold Toronto… and like usual, I am not tired! I don’t know why but I am just not tired! I’m such a nerd …can you believe that I just got internet in my place TODAY… for the first time… most of you are probably thinkin to yourselves that I’m from outer space to not have internet… but like I said I’m a nerd! Ha! I’m so stoked!! My album is dropping in June… and I can’t wait for you all to hear it!! OH YEAH! My single is called ‘This is My Life’… and right now we’re in talks as to what kinda video we want to make! But I want to know what kinda video YOU would like me to make! So get chattin on the message boards about what you would like to see me do more of! I am really interested in knowing!”
When it came time to record ‘Sunday Love’, Fefe Dobson found a new musical hero in her backup singer Nina Gordon of Veruca Salt fame. “I hadn’t really known much of Veruca Salt,” she admitted to Chart magazine. “I was more of a Courtney Love fan. I didn’t know much of [Nina] and then when I met her, she was so bubbly. She’s so cute. But then she gave me her album to listen to and I was like, damn this stuff rocks! Fefe Dobson phoned into WBLI in Long Island to talk with Steve and Maria about taking part in their Summer Jam concert. Fefe was eating breakfast at the time, so they asked what she wanted on her tour rider. Fefe then talked about fellow Canadian Avril Lavigne and her obsession with Taylor Hanson.

Fefe Dobson spoke with ‘Top of the Pops’ about various fashion faux pas she’s experienced, and revealed an embarrassing moment splitting her pants. “When I was filming the video for ‘Everything’, I did a jump, karate kick and I completely split my pants in half, like so bad that the split was the size of my arm,” Dobson explained. “They fell to the ground, so I started crying and I ran away. Everybody started saying, ‘Why did she run away, that was an amazing kick!’ And all I could do was cry and say ‘But everyone can see my butt!'”
