In an interview with HX magazine, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas had a specific message for the party drug-prone gay community, for whom she knows crystal meth addiction has reached epidemic proportions. “In my experience, ecstasy led to crystal meth, and I just think that people don’t know how addictive that drug is. It’s so cunning because it’s such a fun drug at first. You lose weight and look great for a while, but I don’t care if it takes six months or five years, it will creep up on you,” she warned in an almost motherly tone. “Don’t be fooled and think you’re special.” HX.com has since removed the full story.
Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas tells Time magazine she had to dig deep into herself to kick her crystal meth addiction. “It was the hardest boyfriend I ever had to break up with,” the singer said. “It’s the drug that’s addicting. But it’s why you start doing it in the first place that’s interesting. A lot of it was being a child actor; I learned to suppress feelings.” When asked what she does now with those feelings, she said, “I have an hour and a half of performing every night and improvising. If there’s a rafter, I can climb right on.”

GMTV asked Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas if she had ever met the “other” Fergie, the Duchess of York. “Yes, I had a conversation with her on the phone,” she said. “It was great – I was talking to royalty! I think we are going to do some charity work together. I know that she builds schools and both my parents are teachers. I always had to get good grades so that is an important thing to me because it has helped me along in life.”

Joel Madden phoned into the Jackie & Bender Show on KISS 106.1 FM in Seattle on Friday (August 5). Madden called in swearing and sounding drunk. World Entertainment News Network reports that Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas is crediting ex-lover Justin Timberlake of *NSYNC for triggering her international success. Fergie cited Timberlake’s vocals on the Peas’ breakthrough single ‘Where Is The Love?’ as bringing the group commercial success. “I don’t take credit for that, ‘Where Is The Love?’ hit a button with people and it had Justin Timberlake on it who was just getting really huge,” she said. “I was more the icing on the cake. It is a bit weird but he’s a doll, a real doll. A really good guy. I had a lot of fun with him. Actually, working with him is great. It wasn’t a long term serious relationship, so there’s no bad history. He’s part of the family.”
World Entertainment News Network reports Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas has forged a close friendship with Cameron Diaz, despite the fact that she used to date her current beau, Justin Timberlake. Fergie insists her romance with the *NSYNC star was never that serious. “It was a flirt fest. He was 17, I was 23. At first I wouldn’t date him because he was too young,” Fergie explained. “It was never serious, but we had a bond.”
The Sun reports Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas used to date *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake before either of them hit the big time. “I used to go out with Justin a long time ago,” she said. “Although I didn’t see him for many years, we’ve never had a serious falling out.” Timberlake is teaming with BEP at the Grammy Awards on Sunday for their hit ‘Where Is The Love?’
