Ferras checked in with fans on his blog at MySpace (@ferrasmusic) on Saturday (June 21). The ‘Hollywood’s Not America’ singer writes, “It’s currently hundreds of degrees here in Albany. I’m roasting like a Virginia ham on a skewer. ok, well maybe not that bad, I AM in my hotel with air con BLASTING. Ok so let’s start with Cleveland and Columbus – Both lots of fun. I had a migraine from HELL in Columbus, but as usual I ain’t gonna let you kiddies down so I popped 3 Advil and got on the stage. It works like magic – not the pills, but being on stage. U get this adrenaline rush thing that makes u superman or something. So I did my show and as soon as I got off, the head started pounding so I made my way back to the hotel after signing y’all CD’s! Next day we was off to Nashville! I’d never been to this really awesome place before and I was really looking forward to going. I played the Summer Jam concert with Jordin Sparks – who by the way is A SWEETHEART beyond belief and MAN, can she SING!!!! We love Jordin.”
Ferras Alqaisi dropped by ‘The Saturday Early Show’ over the weekend to perform his single ‘Hollywood’s Not America’ as part of the show’s ‘Second Cup Cafe’ series. The tune is featured as the exit song on ‘American Idol’.
Ferras talked about his excitement for the release of his debut album ‘Aliens & Rainbows’, how the new single getting picked up by the hit FOX show is not too bad for business, and how his label submitting the track to the show’s producers paid off.

Hey Everyone! Austin, TX was wonderful! It was 92 degrees and sticky and I loved it! I did a taping for Direct TV concert series and played a show on Sat night for SXSW. Right now, I just finished a show here in Toronto, ON. What a great city too! So many cities so little time in them (lately) :) I wanna come back when I have some more time to chill and see more. Tomorrow morning I get up at 6am for a radio station visit here in Canada and then its off to NY two hours later to debut my video on TRL!!! Can I just take a sec to say WHAT! TRL BABY! (I’m clearly excited huh!) Then Tues and Wed night I’ll be in Boston and rejoin the tour with AFF! SO much exciting stuff happening – I am really so happy. Also I wanted to tell you guys (sorry in a mass blog thing) that I DO READ ALL MY MESSAGES AND APPROVE ALL MY FRIEND REQUESTS ETC! I’ve been getting lots of messages asking that and I do – I LOVE to hear from you guys and wanna say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for your messages and support and for coming to see me at my shows and calling in to radio stations and voting for the video – all of it – really, you guys rock. And lastly, I PROMISE I’ll find some time soon to respond to all your wonderful messages individually. It’s been such a whirlwind the last month and especially the last few weeks and last night (por ejemplo) I had three hours of sleep. SO as soon as I get a second for air, I will respond. Again, thanks so much for all of your KIND and inspiring words – I just can’t say it enough. Peace and Love till the end…. Ferras.
