Jess Stickley of Girls Can’t Catch updated fans on the British girl group’s blog at MySpace (@girlscantcatch) on Wednesday (December 2), discussing how she celebrated her 19th birthday last week. Stickley writes:
I had such a great 19th birthday, and received so many lovely gifts from you guys that I wanted to share my weekend with you as this was my first birthday since being in GCC. This time last year I was surrounded by revision books so it’s crazy to think how much has changed in just a year!
My birthday was really stretched out this year and started whilst we were on the Jonas Brothers tour as I first received a fabulous GCC photo album from Charlie on our meet and greet which I absolutely love and then I received a birthday book from Emma on a meet and greet with her, which made me cry ! Lol :) And both of these things started to get me even more excited for my birthday!
Girls Can’t Catch are out with the music video to their new single ‘Echo’, the second release from the British girl group’s upcoming debut album on Polydor/Fascination. Watch it below.
Jess Stickley of Girls Can’t Catch blogged all about attending Rihanna’s exclusive concert in London the other night, including what she thinks of the Barbados singer’s new tracks, Rihanna’s special guest and meeting GCC fans afterwards. Jess writes on their blog at MySpace (@girlscantcatch):
On Monday Rihanna did a secret gig in London at the Brixton Academy and I was lucky enough to get my hands on a pair of tickets… What a gig it turned out to be!!!
She came on wearing a Beyoncé-style leotard and sporting her fab new blonde hairstyle which I LOVE! And she performed two of my fave new tracks of hers ‘The Wait Is Ova’ and ‘Russian Roulette’ and she had an awesome set on stage with a great live band and huge screen behind her!
But the night was set to get better and better…
Phoebe Brown of Girls Can’t Catch checked in with fans on the UK girl group’s blog at MySpace (@girlscantcatch) on Monday (October 26), talking about her trip to Disneyland Paris. Brown writes:
I went to Disneyland for three days and absolutely loved it! I travelled on the Eurostar and played travel Monopoly the whole way there, and of course I won every time!!
I stayed at the cowboy themed hotel ‘Cheyenne’, and there were no queues for any of the rides as we went during term time! All I ate was fast food, pizza, chips and nachos… the French don’t really do veggie food, ha! I bought loads of Disney stuff too…even Goofy slippers!
Phoebe Brown of Girls Can’t Catch checked in with fans after she and Daizy Agnew enjoyed a vacation in Dubai. Brown writes on their blog at MySpace (@girlscantcatch):
The girls and I were in the studio recording the last song for our album when we realized the weather was actually (for once) rather nice!!! We got to speaking about going away together for a few days to Brighton but then I said ‘Stuff it, let’s go on holiday!’ Jess couldn’t make it work as she was due to get her A level results the very next day, but Daze came back to my house and we found a perfect holiday in Dubai! We booked it then and there and flew out the next night – talk about last minute!! We had such a fab time – our room was lovely and we even had our own balcony!! The weather was so hot it was nearly impossible to lie in it – so we did loads of activities instead like para-gliding, night safari, shopping, water parks and we even rode camels! We were delayed by 24 hours on the way back which was a bit of a nightmare, but it was well worth it as we had a little bit of free time before the hectic work starts for the second single!
Hope you enjoy the photos, and can’t wait to see you all soon – loving corresponding with you all via the website.
Lots of love Phoebe xx
Cheryl Cole or Dannii Minogue? Reality TV or the news? Blond or brunette? Lady Gaga or Beyonce? Rom-com flick or freaky horror? Girls Can’t Catch answered quick-fire questions from ITN. Watch it via YouTube below.
They are hotly tipped as the new girl band to watch, but just how good are Girls Can’t Catch’s dance moves? Matt Edmondson PocketTV caught up with the British pop trio, who got him dressed for the part in a dance studio, to show a few moves. They failed miserably at trying to catch items in Matt’s bag to validate their name before discussing what they thought about their former tourmates Girls Aloud.
The webisode video has since been removed.
Jess Stickley of Girls Can’t Catch checked in with fans on the girl group’s blog at MySpace (@girlscantcatch) on Wednesday (July 1) after their appearance on ‘Hollyoaks’ last week. Stickley writes:
Friday 26th [June] was the airing of our appearance on Hollyoaks as the band that played at their graduation ball! Funnily enough it landed on the same day as my own graduation and prom which was really cool!
When we spent the day in Liverpool filming for Hollyoaks all those weeks back, we had no clue of what the finished product would look like – all we knew was that we had to film in silence and mime and dance to nothing because we were a part of a key scene in which the characters are talking by the side of the stage!

UK girl group Girls Can’t Catch are out with the video to their debut single ‘Keep Your Head Up’, released next month on Fascination. Watch via YouTube below.
Jess of Girls Can’t Catch checked in with fans on their blog at MySpace (@girlscantcatch) on Tuesday (June 2), talking about shooting their first music video, presumably for ‘Keep Your Head Up’. Jess writes:
The day was really dependent on the weather so we had to keep up the pace of the filming throughout the day and toward the end of the day as the sun was setting we were running to different parts in the location to get different shots! The end shot of the day had the sun setting behind us and I just think its going to look so amazing and beautiful!
It was such a great experience and what shocked us all the most was the amount of people on set working with us. I didn’t realize there would be so many! It felt so great to know that we had such an experienced team around us who were all so professional and helped to get the best performances from us three!
