Greyson Chance Offers Fans A Tour Of His Home Town

Greyson Chance is seen on a tour of his hometown of Edmond, Oklahoma in the latest episode of the VEVO network original series Area Codes. In the clip, the 13-year-old artist visits some of this favorite spots in the Oklahoma City suburb – including the church where he recorded his now-famous ‘Paparazzi’ clip and his local record store – and even lets fans into this family’s home to show off his first piano. He also took some time to visit the kids at the Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma, where he donated $10,000 to the Children’s Miracle Network.

“When I first started piano, it was somewhat challenging, but I really wanted to learn it and I really wanted to be able to play,” Greyson said. “I wanted to impress my friends and maybe a couple of girls. Eventually I learned ‘Paparazzi’ and I posted it on YouTube and I was on the Ellen show and was signed to her label and then she offered to get a new piano for our house.”

Talking about his Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma visit, Greyson said, “I’m so excited to go to the hospital today and to be with Children’s Miracle Network. I think it’s so important for me to be able to give back to my community. Everybody go check out It’s a great place to find a charity that means something special to you.”

During a stop at Guestroom Records, Greyson said, “I actually collect vinyl. I take a record player with me on tour and I take about 50 records with me on tour because I like to listen to them a lot.”

Greyson is out with the music video to his new single ‘Unfriend You’, the second release from the Edmond, Oklahoma teen’s upcoming debut album ‘Hold On ‘Til the Night’, out August 2nd.

“I think ‘Unfriend You’ is an amazing record because, one, it’s a breakup song, which breakup songs are always fun, and two, it’s referencing social media, especially in this day and age, I think it’s very important to reference social media in music,” Greyson told MTV News about the song.

Greyson Chance North American Summer Tour Dates

Greyson Chance has announced that he will embark on a North American Tour this summer. The 22 date run will kick-off in Chicago on July 3rd and includes headline dates as well as shows with ‘iCarly’ star Miranda Cosgrove. Other dates include Allstar Weekend, Big Time Rush, Cody Simpson and Shane Harper.

Greyson’s debut single ‘Waiting Outside the Lines’ was recently the #1 physical single in the country for four straight weeks. Both ‘Unfriend You’ and ‘Waiting Outside the Lines’ will be featured on Greyson’s debut album ‘Hold On ‘Til the Night’, set for release on August 2nd via eleveneleven/Maverick/Streamline/Geffen. His debut EP is currently available on all digital outlets.

Greyson Chance is scheduled to appear live on QVC on Sunday, July 10 at 10 AM (ET) to unveil his new album. Greyson Chance Talks Awards And PB&J

Popstar! spoke with Greyson Chance on the Kids’ Choice Awards red carpet in Los Angeles last month, where the teen talked about dreaming of winning Best Male Artist since he was little, putting an award on his fireplace if he ever won a Grammy, and that peanut butter and jelly is his favorite snack.

Talking about the award he’d most want, Greyson said, “Probably best male artist. I’m still hoping for that one, so I’m hoping it will come soon.”

Asked what he’s reading right now, Greyson said, “I don’t read a lot, but I’m actually.. What am I reading? Textbooks! A lot of textbooks. Lots of school.”

As for the person he’s most wanted to see at the event, “Steven Tyler. I’m so excited to see him. Hopefully I can meet him.”

Greyson Chance and Cody Simpson discussed their upcoming tour on Radio Disney’s Take Over with Ernie D.

“It’s gonna be an amazing show,” Chance said. “First of all, we’re in rehearsals right now and it’s looking incredible. I’ve been saying this alot, but I think the best thing that’s gonna be about this tour is that it’s really gonna be two different sides of pop music coming together.”
