Hilary Duff was spotted shopping at Maxfield on Thursday (February 5), arriving in a tank top, dealing with rain as she left with a jacket on and an umbrella overhead. Hilary Duff spoke with E! News about a Faye Dunaway’s recent comment to the Chicago Sun-Times after the 68-year-old learned Duff was to reprise her role in a remake of the 1967 film ‘The Story of Bonnie and Clyde’. “Couldn’t they at least cast a real actress,” Dunaway asked. In response, Duff alluded to Faye’s apparent cosmetic surgery. “I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don’t even know who she is, so you know, uh, I think it was a little unnecessary but I might be mad if I looked like that now too,” Duff said.

A CBS rep tells UsMagazine.com that Hilary Duff has signed on to guest star in the Jennifer Love Hewitt starring ‘Ghost Whisperer’. Duff begins shooting the episode ‘Thrilled to Death’ on Friday, where the 21-year-old will play a beautiful woman of mystery who may be involved in the death of a man who fell victim to a freak accident.

The singer and actress negotiated her way through the obnoxious pack of paparazzi outside the establishment, including one calling her “Lizzie McGuire” using an Oscar the Grouch voice, before jumping in an awaiting car. Hilary Duff is on the cover of Maxim magazine’s January issue, where the singer and actress was asked about a quote she supposedly gave in 2006 that she was a virgin. “You know what? I was quoted saying I was a virgin, but I absolutely did not say that,” the 21-year-old said. “That’s nobody’s business but my own. Somehow it turned into a bad thing!”
Duff also complained about another gossip item. “I’ve been accused by the press of giving lap dances at clubs,” she says. “I mean, little ol’ me? It’s shocking. People love to believe it —- it’s way more exciting to talk about than the truth! And they’re so descriptive about these lap dances. I don’t even know how to do a lap dance!”

Hilary Duff is returning to the small screen after the singer/actress signed an exclusive, one-year talent and development contract with NBC to star in her own series as well as guest-star in current NBC shows. “Hilary is an incredibly versatile talent with a huge following whose career we know will continue to soar on NBC,” said Teri Weinberg, Executive Vice President, NBC Entertainment. “We are confident we will develop great ideas that would feature her vast talents and are thrilled to have this opportunity.” It doesn’t mean an end to her film career though, with Duff appearing in the upcoming films ‘Safety Glass’, ‘Stay Cool’ and ‘Greta’.

I want to see where it all takes me. I’ve been working so hard for a long time – and I just turned 21 – so it’s time to do it my way!!!”
