Howie D Gets Lucky At Grammy After-Party

According to People.com, the BMG Grammy after-party allowed celebrities in attendance the chance of winning a bright red 2004 Chrysler Crossfire by trying to pick the engine-starting key from a fishbowl. When was offered a shot at it, she turned to boyfriend Nick Carter and shrugged, “Oh sure, let’s do it. I don’t even care. What is it – a Chrysler?” Eventually the car went to star . Bandmate Kevin Richardson, who picked a losing key, told People: “Howie is the luckiest man alive. He wins at the Kentucky Derby. He wins in Vegas. He wins in real estate. God bless him.” A humble Howie conceded, “I just turned 30. This is a good start to what will hopefully be a great year.”

Backstreet Boys Have Five Songs Done

A week ago, various members of the revealed to fans that they had four songs completed for their upcoming album. A few days ago, their manager Johnny Wright confirmed that. Well, according to BriansMyKYDucky from the forum at LiveDaily.com, appeared on the WB11 Morning News around 7:30 this morning and announced that the group now has 5 songs done. He also said that he never imagined the group, currently recording in Los Angeles, would be as big as it is, and he feels very blessed. Then he talked some about his charity, the Dorough Lupus Foundation. And last but not least, he finally made it official that he and his longtime, presumed girlfriend Leigh B. are indeed an item.

Howie Confirms That Nick Is Dating Paris, Laughs At Britney

It’s official. Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and hotel heiress are an item. Detroit radio station Q95.5 called up Nick’s bandmate just to get the scoop on the Paris and Nick rumors. Howie confirmed to them that Nick and Paris have been together for a few weeks now. Backstreet fan xIxGOTxNICKx from the forum at LiveDaily.com emailed a DJ at the station about what exactly was said. The DJ, Spike, replied to her: “We called Howie D. to put the rumors to rest and he confirmed that Nick & Paris have been together for a few weeks. He had a fun time with the topic and busted on Nick quite a bit. He also told us that they are going into the studio [this] month to begin work on the next BSB album. And he had a laugh over saying ‘I guess any publicity is good publicity.’ When we called his cell, he was boarding a plane for Japan, and talked to us so long that he almost missed his flight. Thanks for listening!”

Howie D. And Joey Fatone Playfully Bust Each Other’s Balls

Howie appeared on Los Angeles radio station KIIS 102.7 FM on December 19th. According to fan and listener DawnJElmer, Howie said he was spending the holidays in Florida with his family. JoJo, the DJ, said he wanted to have a song on the new album and Nsync album. Howie reiterated that BSB are back together and will start recording on January 10th. JoJo told Howie that he had someone on the line that wanted to talk to him; it was of Nsync. The two talked about recording and shared a few laughs. Joey playfully gave Howie a hard time about how BSB beat Nsync “to the punch with recording next year & that BSB was always beating them with everything.” Howie playfully shot back and said something about how BSB focuses on music but haven’t put out anything for the past 3 years while Nsync tends to focus on putting out ‘stuff’ (i.e. dolls, lip balm, merchandise, DVDs). Howie also confirmed that BSB are once again managed by Johnny Wright. He acknowledged that Nsync are still managed by him as well, and said that maybe the two groups can do something together in the future. Read more.

Howie Gives KIIS The Scoop On Backstreet Boys Plans

On December 18th, phoned into Los Angeles station 102.7 KIIS-FM. DawnJElmer from the Mature Fan Club summarized the conversation. She says: “That was too funny. I loved it when Joey from ‘N Sync brought up the bit about Howie doing the voice of Santa in Dora The Explorer. Howie seemed so embarrassed about that & about ready to kill him. Howie also said he is leaving tomorrow to go back to FL & is moving all his things back home so sounds like he will be there for quite a while. He also mentioned about the BSB’s new cd, about his cruise & also the thing he is doing in New York in Feb. He brought up the thing with Johnny Wright too so it definitely is true since I heard it myself. That’s all I can think of right now. Maybe someone else will have more to say. I was so thrilled to hear Howie. It totally made my day hearing his beautiful voice. I love that man.”

Howie Tells Sharon Osbourne ‘Backstreeet’s Back’

Danielle Morano from the New York radio station Z100 posted some info on the station’s website about ’s appearance on the Sharon Osbourne show today. She writes, “Thought they were gone forever, well the are planning a reunion. ‘Backstreet Boy’ breaks the news to Sharon Osbourne that the group will be back together to work on a new album early next year. We’ll be waiting to hear it!” Howie was at the show to support recording artist Seal who has Lupus, the same disease that took the life of Howie’s sister.
