James Morrison’s Vocals Aided By Caterpillar Larva Fungus
Before hitting the stage, James Morrison tells The Sun he has an ancient Chinese secret to keep his voice in tact before hitting the stage. “I have this juice called Loquat. It’s a bit like honey and is supposed to be really good for your vocal chords,” the singer songwriter explained. “But I’ve also got these weird Chinese pills where apparently they scrape fungus from a caterpillar larva and them process it in a lab. I swear to God.”

James Morrison Feeling Pleased & Fortunate After Brit Nominations
James Morrison updated fans from Los Angeles on his blog at MySpace on Thursday (January 22), where the British singer songwriter was about to appear on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’. The 24-year-old tells readers:
So, I’m here in LA, on tour with the wonderful Adele. It’s a lovely 18 degrees and there’s a nice breeze in the air. We just arrived from Chicago and Minneaplois where it was minus 10 and snowy, so this is a nice change.
Today I’m doing the ‘Ellen’ TV show and we’re playing ‘Nothing Ever Hurt Like You’. We’ve got a great set up including 3 brass players from the amazing Nika De Costa’s band. They’re so good.
I’ve just been told that I am one of the nominees for the Best Male catagory at The Brits this year. I’m really pleased about that. When I won a couple of years ago I had a fantastic time. I’m so glad that I’m still fortunate enough to be doing what I’m doing, playing music and travelling the world, and to be nominated again is amazing. I’m delighted that everyone seems to be enjoying the album, and ‘Broken Strings’ being such a big hit has given me a great start to the year.
